About Vidhu Kariyawasam

Dr. Vidhu Kariyawasam completed her residency in internal medicine at Danbury Hospital – Yale New Haven School of Medicine and went on to complete her fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the UF Division of Infectious Diseases and Global medicine, where she also serves as the medical director for the Outpatient Infectious Disease clinic. Her specific interests include HIV provider education and the prevention and management of HIV infection in adults, as well as opportunistic infections in HIV patients. Dr. Kariyawasam is board certified in both internal medicine and infectious diseases.
