Chagas Disease Clinic

Welcome to our clinic!

We focus on the diagnosis, treatment and management of those who have Chagas disease. This is an infectious disease caused by a parasite known as Trypanosoma cruzi. Infection from this parasite can lead to chronic manifestations which primarily impact the heart and gastrointestinal system.

Our clinic offers an advanced level of diagnostic abilities and testing to investigate any chronic manifestations of this infection. We are one of the only clinics in the United States that focus on this infection. The clinic is led by Dr. Norman Beatty who is world-renowned for his work on clinical Chagas disease, Trypanosoma cruzi and the “kissing bug” vector which can spread the infection.

We look forward to seeing you in the clinic!

In Florida we have kissing bugs infected with the parasite. Approximately 30% are known to harbor the Trypanosoma cruzi. They can be found invading your home and in certain parts of Florida they are common.
