Welcoming Our New Faculty

The Division of Infectious Diseases welcomed three new faculty members this year to add to our diverse and experienced team of infectious disease physicians.

Dr. Sai Pavan Kumar Chintalapati comes to us from University of Maryland where he completed his Infectious Diseases Fellowship with a focus on transplant ID. His academic interests are bone marrow transplant and solid organ transplant.

Dr. Pooja Gurram completed her Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN, followed by Transplant Infectious Diseases Fellowship at University of Pittsburgh. Her academic interests are infections in immunocompromised hosts and diagnostic stewardship.

Dr. Nicole Mongilardi-Valdez completed her Infectious Disease Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University / University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center, followed by Advanced Geriatric Research Fellowship at Case Western and Cleveland VA. Her interest is general ID.
