The Division of Infectious Disease and Global Medicine selects Fellows based on their academic achievement, personal qualities, and ability to excel in rigors of medical education. For the most part, only those most qualified applicants from an accredited United States Medical School that the faculty consider as providing a superior undergraduate medical education will be interviewed. Fellows are accepted as categorical fellows with the intent that these fellows will complete the program, assuming their performance is satisfactory.
Applicants should apply to the Fellowship Program via the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). For additional information on the application process, please visit the ERAS web page at https://www.erasfellowshipdocuments.org/index.asp. All applicants should be board certified or board eligible and have completed 3 years of Internal Medicine Residency at an accredited institution. The following documents must be submitted electronically in ERAS to be considered for an interview:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Personal Statement
- 3 Letters of Recommendations
- USMLE Scores – Step 1 and 2 (Must pass Step 3 prior to starting Fellowship)
- Medical School Transcripts
- ECFMG Certificate (if applicable)
- Recent Photograph
Please note: Currently, H1B and J1 visas are being accepted in our program. The Division also participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
